The Scottish Cultural Association of LuxembourgThe Scottish Cultural Association of Luxembourg is an Association sans but lucratif
(asbl) founded in August 2025.
Prior to the foundation of the Association, the premier Scottish event in the Grand Duchy had been the Burns Supper,
organised since 1982 by a mysterious body known only as The Committee
.
In 2025, faced with rising costs, the Committee concluded that its activities should be placed on a more formal footing, with a view to organising a wider range of Scottish events, and to allow the possibility of commercial sponsorship to help defray costs and keep its events affordable, especially for younger members of the Community. And so in 2025 the Commmitee became the Scottish Cultural Association of Luxembourg asbl.
The aims of the Association are to promote Scottish culture and heritage in Luxembourg, to organize events celebrating Scottish traditions such as Burns Night, St. Andrew's Day, and Hogmanay, amd more generally to promote Scottish literature, music and dance, foster community spirit among Scots residing in Luxembourg, and encourage exchanges with other cultural groups present in the Grand Duchy.
Membership of the Association is open to any person who supports our aims.
